Healthy Weight for Children Hub News
This month the Healthy Weight for Children Hub, an interactive network designed to help tackle childhood obesity in the South West, will celebrate its first anniversary.
Since its launch in December 2008, the Hub has generated a lot of interest from health professionals and the general public, with over 70,000 hits and approximately 30,000 downloads. One of the most successful features of the website has been the Interventions database, a searchable collection of projects taking place across the region. There are now 99 Interventions on this database, focusing on a range of activities from healthy eating games to sports and play.
To celebrate the success of the Healthy Weight for Children Hub, and to highlight all the good work that has taken place across the South West and nationally to help tackle childhood obesity, the South West Public Health Observatory has published a special issue newsletter which is now available at:
